LOCATION

In the fine Place de Verdun square, next to the apartment there is a café (like the apartment itself, believed to date back to circa 1800) with large embossed mirrors surrounded in carved mahogany, flanking the walls. A perfect spot for breakfast, or for just watching the world go by in the square! A wealth of fashionable shops can be found on your doorstep, and everyday there is a wonderful, bustling local market. On Friday afternoons an alternative market comes right to your very door in the Place de Verdun!

Across the square, the delightful park offers shaded picnic areas, with wooden tables and benches already conveniently in place. There is also a useful car park. Buses from the square take you to the enchanting Ile de Re, or to large shopping areas on the outskirts of town. There are also regular boat trips from the nearby harbour to take you to all the neighbouring islands.
